Some of you are probably going to gag when you read this post. I've been meaning to keep a blog for a few years...as you can see by the dates on any posts older than this one. I've never been a journal writer—I always feared that it would be used as evidence against me.
But that was many years ago, and I've had lots of experiences recently that have forced me to grow up a bit. Now I realize that writing is critical. Writing is honest. And writing is now the best way to connect to people in this digital age.
But Liz, you've said you were going to keep a blog before and you gave up. What makes this attempt any different?
Thanks for that question, voice in my head.
This time is different because I'm different. I'm not that same scared little girl who is afraid for other people to see her thoughts. I'm loud, I'm ready to speak up and I'm looking forward to it.
Here's one thing I promise to you, my readers: You'll get at least one daily post from me, and you'll be entertained. I might be snarky, I might be insightful and I might be downright narcissistic. But it will be authentically Mayo.
Please bear with me while I figure out the focus of this blog. Thanks for joining me on the ride.
